Report: Reason Sami Zayn Missed Last Week's Episode Of WWE SmackDown Revealed
Taking precautions...

Since WrestleMania 36, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro have been without their leader Sami Zayn on TV. The Intercontinental Champion was absent from the SmackDown after 'Mania, and then he underwent surgery to remove his wisdom teeth, causing him to miss the April 17 episode of the blue brand.
The Underdog From The Underground also failed to appear on April 24. Both Nakamura and Cesaro were on the show as they distracted Drew Gulak during his match with King Corbin to prevent the former Cruiserweight Champion from qualifying for the Men's Money In The Bank Ladder match.
Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Zayn was originally scheduled to appear in that segment but he decided not to travel to the show.
During the coronavirus pandemic, WWE Superstars have been told they don't have to attend events and it won't affect their push or any future plans the company has for them. The most high profile wrestler who has decided not to travel is former Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
