Mauro Ranallo Signs New Deal With WWE

NXT's main voice continues onward...

As NXT continues to churn out TakeOver events, Mauro Ranallo will be there to continue matching their excitement and intensity on headset.

The veteran wrestling, boxing, and MMA play-by-play announcer has signed a new deal with WWE to remain the lead voice of NXT, per Mike Johnson of PWInsider. Details of said deal have not been disclosed, but reportedly his duties within the company will not change.

Johnson adds that the new deal was agreed upon by WWE and Ranallo roughly a month or so back, but was only able to confirm the deal this week.

The deal will allow Ranallo to continue broadcasting for outside combat sports endeavors, as he had been doing.

Ranallo has been the main voice of the NXT developmental brand since June 2017. Previously in WWE, Ranallo had been the lead commentator on SmackDown from January 2016 to March 2017. At one juncture, Ranallo was expected to leave the company in August 2017 at the expiration of his contract, before he ended up migrating over to NXT.
