Mauro Ranallo To Call Double World Title Match At Impact Rebellion

Mamma mia indeed

More than seven months after departing from WWE, former SmackDown and NXT announcer Mauro Ranallo will be on the call for at least one more wrestling match.

Marc Raimondi of ESPN is reporting that Ranallo will join the commentary team at Impact Wrestling Rebellion on Sunday, April 25, for the title for title match pitting Impact World champion Rich Swann against AEW World champion Kenny Omega.

Ranallo signed with WWE at the end of 2015, joining SmackDown as its lead play by play voice. He remained in the role until the spring of 2017, when he was replaced by Tom Phillips.

Later that year, Ranallo became the lead voice of NXT, a role he served until August of 2020, when he departed from the organization.

Ranallo remains the voice of both Bellator MMA and Showtime Boxing.

Omega has been AEW World champion since December 2, and has wrestled twice for Impact in 2021. Swann, meanwhile won the Impact World title on October 24, and has made six successful defenses. He also unified the belt with Moose's TNA World title on March 13.
