Mercedes Mone Believes She Will Be Back In WWE "One Day"
Mercedes Mone says she "knows" she will be back in WWE
All signs are pointing towards Mercedes Mone being AEW-bound, with the expectation being that she will arrive at the upcoming Big Business edition of AEW Dynamite this upcoming Wednesday at the TD Garden in Boston. Although Mone joining AEW would be a big move, she is not closing the door on her WWE career just yet, and in fact has claimed she “knows” she will be back there one day.
On the Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast, Mone spoke about her future in wrestling and whether or not she will return to WWE. She remained vague about her specific next steps, but did note that she will be back in the world of WWE eventually when answering a question on why she walked out of WWE back in 2022.
"I know I'm going to be back there [WWE] one day, ok. So it's not over. Like I said, I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling in a lot of places."
In an interesting note, this comment was left out of the full podcast, but it remained in a clip uploaded to YouTube. Mone did speak fondly of her time with WWE, but was proud of the fact that she walked out when she did. During this interview, Mone also revealed that her injury in 2023 was nearly a career-ending one.
