Mercedes Moné Teases One More Match With Bayley

Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks) and Bayley have been linked throughout their professional wrestling careers, as both partners and rivals. 

The two held the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles on two occasions, while they have had classic matches on both the main roster and in NXT. 

Reminiscing about their unforgettable NXT Women's Championship bout from 2015's NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, Moné posted a picture of the two sharing a post-match embrace alongside the caption, "Let's do this again someday".

Bayley then responded with "I can't wait. Happy 8th" (in reference to the eight-year anniversary of the match).

Since leaving WWE earlier this year, Mercedes has wrestled a handful of matches for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom. She is currently sidelined, having sustained an injury in her match with Willow Nightingale on May 21. 

Moné was scheduled to win that match (and the NJPW STRONG Women's Championship), but called an audible after suffering the injury and Nightingale went over instead.

If another match between Moné and Bayley were to happen, it likely wouldn't be in Japan, as the Damage CTRL member doesn't believe she would physically be able to wrestle the Japanese style. 

Bayley previously revealed that she 'begs' her former partner to return to WWE every day.
