Michael Cole Reveals How Long He Will Remain Commentating In WWE
Michael Cole won't be going anywhere for now
Oct 20, 2024
Michael Cole has stepped down from several of his roles in WWE over the last year since signing a new deal with the company, and despite missing Friday Night SmackDown this week due to a “special assignment” (only his fourth missed show since 1997), don’t expect him to slow down any time soon when it comes to his commentary duties.
Cole has been the ‘voice of WWE’ for decades, hardly taking a week off throughout his time on the commentary desk on both RAW and SmackDown over the years. When speaking to Sal Licata of WFAN, Cole spoke on his new long-term deal with WWE, and revealed how long he believes he will continue going as an announcer.
"I still feel like I have a lot left in me. I just signed a long-term deal with the company, I'll be doing this for a few more years. I'll be back on Netflix doing Monday Night Raw in January.”
WWE recently shook up their commentary teams, with Cole moving back over to SmackDown alongside Corey Graves, whilst Joe Tessitore was signed as the leading voice for RAW, where he works with Wade Barrett.
