On this week's edition of Monday Night Raw, Mickie James competed in her first match in 14 months against Natalya. Many fans were excited to see the six-time women's champion back in action, but the broadcast quickly ignored the match once Seth Rollins marched to the ring and demanded Samoa Joe reveal how he knows Rey Mysterio is in the building. WWE didn't even focus on the finish of the bout as James was knocked to the floor by a routine forearm from Natalya and she failed to get back in the ring by the count of 10. In total, her return match lasted 195 seconds.
The three-time TNA Knockouts Champion admitted she was "a little bit disappointed" with her in-ring return during a recent interview with Instinct Culture's Denise Salcedo.
James said: "It feels good to be back. I feel better than ever, you know. From a personal standpoint, I feel great. I'm excited to be back, I'm excited about new opportunities, new matches. As far as my return, I'm a little bit disappointed, a little bit you know. But you can't win them all I guess. You can't knock it out of the park every time."
When Mickie will next be in action remains to be seen, but fans can expect her to pursue championship gold at some point as she also told Salcedo she wants to have at least one more title run in WWE.
