Mickie James Set To Make In-Ring Return

Mickie is set for her first match since February

Mickie James is set to make her return to the ring after several months on the sidelines recovering from injury.

The current IMPACT Wrestling star last wrestled at the promotion's February 26 television tapings. The 43-year-old was subsequently forced to relinquish her Knockouts World Title due to a broken rib (as well as a shoulder injury).

Mickie will step back into the ring on July 8, not for IMPACT but for the Association Biterroise de Catch "Festival International De Catch" in France. James will compete in the Jean Corne Cup against Aurora Teves.

Commenting on the match via Twitter, Mickie wrote

"I can't wait to go to France!!! My 1st match back from injury is a real test against @aurorateves & going international!!!! Then our 1st real VACATION in a very Looooooong time. So excited babe @RealNickAldis !!!! LFG!"

Teves herself responded to that by tweeting:

"Absolutely honoured to get to share the ring with @MickieJames in France next weekend. Anyone who has watched me wrestle can see Mickie James is clearly a massive inspiration to me and now it's time to turn the page and make her one of my rivals".

Mickie's husband (and fellow IMPACT star) Nick Aldis recently told Cultaholic's Tom Campbell that James was cleared to compete.
