Mickie James Signs With OVW As Creative Director & Head Of Female Talent

Mickie James has a new role in professional wrestling.

It was reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that Mickie James had joined Ohio Valley Wrestling as Creative Director and Head of Female Talent. James will also be the Executive Producer for all of OVW's events. 

OVW later confirmed James' appointment, with Al Snow saying in a press release: "We are not just working with a superstar, we are embracing a vision for the future. Mickie's influence will transcend the ring. inspiring a new generation of wrestlers and fans alike."

Along with her leadership role, James will "be at the forefront of an exclusive TV series focused on female empowerment in professional wrestling. A project that underscores OVW's commitment to innovative and diverse storytelling."

James has experience producing shows, having previously been the executive producer of NWA Empowerrr in 2021. If James plans to wrestle for OVW is unknown. 

The multi-time WWE Women's Champion had been a part of IMPACT Wrestling (soon to be TNA once again) in recent years but it emerged in November 2023 that she was taking a break from the promotion. The two parties remain on good terms, though.
