Mike & Maria Kanellis Reportedly Request Releases From WWE

First The Revival, now this?!

Yesterday, the wrestling world was taken aback by the rumours that The Revival had reportedly asked for their release from WWE. While nobody was able to confirm if Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder had actually asked to leave the company, it appears there certainly are fears backstage that the pair do want to leave.

Today, more talk of departing Superstars is set to dominate the rumour and innuendo online as Pro Wrestling Sheet are reporting that 205 Live's Mike and Maria Kanellis have asked for their respective releases.

According to the report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, the married couple have been unhappy with the way they've been used in WWE for some time and finally made the decision a few weeks ago to ask for their releases.

Interestingly, Mike has already started selling shirts again on ProWrestlingTees - something full-time WWE Superstars such as he seemingly aren't allowed to do.

The ball appears to be in WWE's court now. They could grant the pair their releases and wish them well with all their future endeavours. Or, the company could do what they did to Neville last year, and have Mike and Maria sit out the remainder of their contracts without using them whatsoever.
