Minoru Suzuki, Will Ospreay, Lance Archer Set For NJPW Strong October Tapings

The three are also scheduled for NJPW’s September tapings

After last week’s announcement that Minoru Suzuki, Will Ospreay, and Lance Archer were set for NJPW Strong’s September tapings, New Japan has now announced that the trio are set for the October tapings too.

Following on from Autumn Attack in Texas in September, the three are set for the New Japan Showdown at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena (the former ECW Arena) on October 16 and 17.

No matches have been announced thus far, but NJPW have revealed a list of who is scheduled to appear, including Switchblade Jay White, Lio Rush, El P, amongst others.

After dropping the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi, Lance Archer looks like he’s sticking around NJPW for a little while at the very least. The AEW stand-out was previously a full-time member of the NJPW roster from 2011 to 2015, and had a second full-time stint from 2017 until 2020.

Aside from his appearances for Strong, Minoru Suzuki is set to compete at numerous independent shows during his USA stay, taking on ROH legend Homicide for the first time ever at GCW’s ‘Get Lost Alot’, as well as matches against Anthony Henry for PXW, and Daniel Garcia for West Coast pro Wrestling.
