Miro Debuts On AEW Dynamite

Miro Day is added to the AEW calendar...

Five months after his release from WWE, the former Rusev has joined All Elite Wrestling, debuting as the choice of best man for Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford's impending wedding.

After two false teases of the best man (one, a Twitch follower of Sabian's, the other Brian Pillman Jr), Sabian finally brought out Miro, who is now sporting short blonde hair.

Fans chanted "Miro Day" at him after the reveal.

Miro then cut a promo, noting his commonality with Sabian (their popular Twitch streaming channels), before bellowing, "Ten years in the same house with the same glass ceiling and an imaginary brass ring. You can take that brass ring and shove it up your ass. My name is Miro! I am Elite!"

It is not currently known when the Sabian/Ford wedding will take place.

As Rusev, Miro spent six years on WWE's main roster, where he won the promotion's United States title on three occasions. Often accompanied by real-life wife Lana, Rusev had a notable feud with John Cena that ran through WrestleMania 31.

He later gained a cult following for his invention of the daily holiday "Rusev Day". Miro was released in April of 2020, during the mass wave of talent releases and staff furloughs.
