Miro Returns To AEW On 6/1 Dynamite

The Redeemer is back

Miro made his return to AEW during Wednesday night's Dynamite in Los Angeles, more than six months after his last prior match.

Miro answered the open challenge of Johnny Elite, whom he defeated by submission with Game Over. Before the match, Miro cut a vengeful pre-taped promo challenging God, and promising to redeem "... the Bastards, the Punks, and the Cowboys."

Miro's wife CJ Perry (Lana) hinted at her husband's return in a tweet earlier Wednesday.

This marks Miro's first appearance since AEW Full Gear on November 13, where he lost to Bryan Danielson in the finals of the World Title Eliminator tournament. Miro had entered the tournament as an alternate, replacing Jon Moxley (who took a leave of absence from AEW to attend rehab).

Since then, Miro took time off to mend a hamstring injury, and has also been working on a new CBS police drama called East New York.

During his time in AEW, Miro reigned as TNT champion for 140 days between May and September 2021. He signed a four-year extension with the company sometime earlier this year.
