Miro Takes Shot At Tony Khan While Revealing Reason For AEW Absence

Miro takes a shot at Tony Khan!

The issues are only piling up for Tony Khan as March 2024 begins.

All Elite Wrestling planned to hold a Meat Madness Match at the Revolution pay-per-view on March 3 but the match was suddenly replaced with an All-Star Scramble.

Khan revealed on the pre-Revolution media call that he wanted Miro and Keith Lee to be a part of Meat Madness but both talents are currently out of action.

"I wanted to put a lot of the big wrestlers and get the crowd fired up for a multi-man scramble, a Meat Madness match. I think the crowd would enjoy it and it would be a lot of fun, but some of the wrestlers I was hoping to use....right now, Miro and Keith Lee are both out. Neither one is available, and some of our big men being out injured, I wanted to have the depth in the field to do the match I originally envisioned and people would enjoy that. Since we didn't necessarily have the depth and we're missing some of our big guys to do the Meat Madness multi-man scramble, we have other great stars and rivalries to showcase, so I made it an All-Star Scramble. When we get all of our big men healthy at the same time, I still want to take the Meat Madness concept off the shelf, get it out of the freezer, thaw it out, but until then I put Meat Madness on ice," Khan said.

Drainmaker on X (FKA Twitter) aggregated Khan's comments without providing a full picture, tweeting: "Tony Khan on the Revolution media call confirms that Miro and Keith Lee were supposed to be in Meat Madness before the match was cancelled, as they're both unavailable at this time."

This has ultimately fuelled a response from Miro, who has since tweeted: "I've been injured since September and I got medical attention in January. Sorry he wasn't aware of it."

Miro has not been on AEW programming since defeating Andrade El Idolo at Worlds End in December 2023. It was noted in a recent report from Fightful Select that he hadn't been backstage in recent weeks.
