Miro Wins TNT Championship On AEW: Dynamite

A new champion was crowned!

Miro has won the TNT Championship, defeating Darby Allin in the main event of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.

The match between Miro and Allin was a back-and-forth exchange, with the reigning champion selling the injuries he sustained on last week's episode - when Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page threw him down a flight of stairs - as well as the pre-match beatdown he received at the hands of 'The Best Man'.

The finish of the match saw Allin rally, and try to lock in an armbar, However, Miro was able to counter, applying The Game Over. Allin would not submit but would pass out, leading to a referee stoppage and a win for Miro.

In winning the TNT Title, Miro claims his first Championship in All Elite Wrestling since joining the promotion in September 2020, and his first wrestling championship since winning the WWE United States Title in 2018.

Allin, meanwhile, sees his run as TNT champion come to an end after 186 days, having defeated Cody Rhodes for the belt at Full Gear. In recent weeks, Allin had regularly defended the Championship, beating the likes of Matt Hardy, Jungle Boy and 10.
