MJF Confirms He Sustained Torn Labrum, Will Still Wrestle At AEW Worlds End

MJF has tweeted details of a shoulder injury, before deleting the post.

Last night, AEW World Champion MJF tweeted the following before deleting it:

"I just got an MRI. I tore my labrum in my left shoulder. I’ll be defending my title at worlds end. I believe in AEW."

This follows reports that MJF was injured in the midst of his last match, the main event of Full Gear against Jay White. While the injury described in his tweet hasn't yet been confirmed as legitimate, Fightful Select have reported the following:

"While we can't confirm ourselves that he got an MRI, he had told people at AEW last week that he'd believed he'd torn his shoulder. He's still expected to compete at AEW World's End. He will be undergoing treatment and hoping to avoid surgery. He sustained the injury during the AEW Full Gear top rope uranage spot. He'd sustained a hip injury during the elbow drop to the outside."

AEW Worlds End is set to take place on December 30 in Long Island, New York. MJF is scheduled to defend the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe, whom he agreed to grant a title shot after Joe helped him retain the ROH World Tag Team titles against The Gunns.
