Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch Sentenced To 17 Years In Jail

WWE Hall of Famer Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch has been sentenced to 17 years in jail after causing the death of a 75-year-old in a car crash in 2022.

Sytch was charged with felony DUI causing death, driving with a suspended license causing death, as well as several misdemeanour charges related to DUI with damage to people or property. The incident in question occurred in March 2022 when Sytch crashed into the car of Julian L. Lasseter in Volusia County, Florida, with Lasseter pronounced dead at the scene. Sytch pleaded no contest to the charges in August 2023.

Sentencing was doled out on November 27, with Judge Karen A. Foxman presiding. Sytch was sentenced to 10.6625 years in the Department of Corrections with credit for the 566 days she's already spent in prison on the charge of driving under a suspended license and causing death or bodily injury.

On the DUI manslaughter second-degree felony charge, Sytch was sentenced to seven years, to be served concurrently with the above sentence, with a further 364 day sentence to be served concurrently to the above for the misdemeanour charges.

Following her incarceration, Sytch will spend eight years on probation.
