MJF Costs Wardlow The TNT Title On AEW Dynamite

No TNT Title for Wardlow after MJF interference

After months of build, the feud between Wardlow and MJF finally kicked off on AEW Dynamite.

Mr Mayhem turned on his employer at AEW Revolution by handing CM Punk the Dynamite Diamond Ring to use against MJF, but The Salt Of The Earth exacted a measure of revenge on Wednesday's edition of Dynamite.

Wardlow challenged Scorpio Sky for the TNT Championship on last night's show and the challenger had the title won down the stretch after he fought off repeated interference from American Top Team. Shawn Spears suddenly appeared on the ramp as Wardlow was about to Powerbomb Scorpio Sky on the ring apron, though, and as the referee was distracted trying to get Spears to return to the back, MJF appeared from out of nowhere and drove Wardlow into the ring post.

The dazed challenger then stumbled back into the ring, only to be rolled up by Scorpio Sky as the champion achieved his first successful defence.

Wardlow then briefly fought off a post-match attack and he even had MJF in position for a Powerbomb but Shawn Spears suddenly decked the former Pinnacle member from behind with a steel chair. Austin Vanderford and Scorpio Sky proceeded to get in shots on Mr Mayhem before Spears and MJF left him lying with a steel chair and Dynamite diamond ring shot.

MJF then celebrated over the fallen Wardlow, with the feud set to continue in the coming weeks.
