Wheeler Yuta Teases Joining William Regal’s Faction On AEW Dynamite
Could Wheeler Yuta be the first to step up and join William Regal’s faction in AEW?
Since William Regal made his shock debut in AEW at Revolution, he has affirmed his desire to guide Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley down a path of violence, and bring the next generation under his wing.
The three have spoken of the likes of Daniel Garcia, Lee Moriarty, and Wheeler Yuta as being standouts who they would like to carve in their own image, and Yuta looks like he could be the first to step up, teasing he’d join the crew on the March 16 edition of AEW: Dynamite.
The team of Danielson and Moxley took on Yuta and Chuck Taylor in tag action, with Mox getting the win on Yuta with a Bulldog choke after Yuta took a big Regalplex from Danielson. However, Yuta showed a lot of heart during the bout, taking punishment from the multi-time world champions, and not being afraid to stand up on his own and dish some back out at them.
Regal took notes throughout the bout, then after the final bell, Yuta turned his back on Best Friends to storm the ring and offer Regal his hand, only to eat a stiff Inoki slap. Yuta, undeterred went face-to-face with Regal as a smirking Danielson and Moxley surrounded him, with Regal telling Yuta to go out and prove himself.
With Kris Statlander later removing her contact lens and alien make-up on the same show, it seems change is coming to Best Friends. And if Yuta fulfils his destiny and joins with the three violent gentlemen, then it could change AEW as a whole.
