MJF Set For Indie Appearance
MJF will compete on the indie scene
Nov 3, 2024
MJF rarely competes outside of AEW, wrestling just outside of the company three times in the last four years. Two of those dates have taken place this year, defending the AEW International/American Championship against Michael Oku in RevPro and defending the gold one more against Templario in CMLL.
It has been announced this weekend that MJF will have a rare independent appearance, competing in a match at Boca Raton (Florida) Championship Wrestling’s Festival Of Fights, which takes place on Sunday, December 15 later this year. His opponent will be fellow AEW roster member QT Marshall, who MJF hasn’t faced since setting sail on the Jericho Cruise back in 2020. It was also announced that MJF would have a ticketed meet and greet prior to the show.
MJF has been absent from live AEW programming over the last few weeks, appearing solely via video. This is due to his current filming schedule as he is part of the Happy Gilmore 2 cast, playing Happy Gilmore’s son. He was seen being massaged in one episode of Dynamite in recent weeks, and the identity of this mystery masseuse was revealed soon after.
