MJF has continued to have a presence on AEW Dynamite since he returned at the WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 12. The former AEW World Champion has not appeared live in the arena, though, including on Wednesday night's Dynamite where he was instead shown on the video screen receiving a massage while he announced the first person to three wins between Adam Cole and Roderick Strong would earn a match against him at Full Gear.

MJF was off AEW TV between All Out and WrestleDream due to filming movies and that is also the reason he has not been on TV in person since October 12, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.

MJF was cast in Happy Gilmore 2 earlier this year and he will play Gordie, one of Happy Gilmore's sons in the sequel to the comedy classic. Gordie and Gilmore's other sons have been described as "tough crazy b*stards with New England accents who have inherited their father’s love of hockey. They all live out their own and work blue-collar jobs."

The identity of MJF's masseuse on AEW Dynamite has been revealed following the TV taping in West Valley City, Utah.
