MJF Wrestles At Indy Show

MJF in action at an indy show

Maxwell Jacob Friedman hardly wrestles in All Elite Wrestling never mind outside of the promotion, but the AEW World Champion was in action over the weekend, having an impromptu match at Create a Pro Wrestling's Homecoming event on Saturday, May 13 in Melville, New York.

Following a promo from Leo Sparrow, during which he mocked MJF, the AEW World Champion interrupted The Son of the Sun's celebrations, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. A last-minute match was then put together, which featured multiple shots to the nether regions, and MJF ultimately picked up the victory.

Friedman was full of praise for Create a Pro after the match, telling the fans in attendance that he wouldn't be where he is today without Brian Myers and Pat Buck, who run the promotion and its wrestling school. Other Create a Pro graduates include Max Caster, "Smart" Mark Sterling, Bronson of the Iron Savages, and Kris Statlander.

May 13 was only MJF's ninth match since May 2022. He is next scheduled to be in action at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view on Sunday, May 28 where he will defend the AEW World Championship in a Four Way against his fellow AEW Pillars, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry.
