WWE Women's Tag Team Title Match Scrapped Due To Liv Morgan Injury

Liv Morgan out of action due to injury

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were scheduled to be in action together on the May 15 edition of Monday Night Raw to defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles against Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green but the match didn't end up happening due to injury.

Footage from Morgan and Rodriguez's title defence against Bayley and Dakota Kai on last week's SmackDown was shown during Raw, with particular emphasis placed on a moment where Morgan was kicked. WWE official Adam Pearce confirmed that Morgan was not cleared to compete due to an injury she suffered from the kick and the WWE Women's Tag Team Title match was postponed.

Raquel Rodriguez instead faced Chelsea Green in singles action on Raw, picking up the win after three minutes.

Fightful Select reported ahead of Raw that Morgan sustained an injury on last week's SmackDown. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, but Morgan was pulled from a Cricket Wireless meet and greet on Monday morning, being replaced with Dolph Ziggler.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have been WWE Women's Tag Team Champions since they defeated Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus for the gold on the April 10 edition of Monday Night Raw.
