Mojo Rawley: Vince McMahon Told Me I Was One Of WWE's Best Athletes

Rawley was let go by WWE in April

The former Mojo Rawley has revealed how Vince McMahon once described him as one of the best athletes in WWE, as well as hailing his attitude and work-ethic.

Rawley joined WWE in 2012 but was released as part of the promotion's recent budget cuts in April, bringing an end to his nine-year stint with the company.

The highlight of Rawley's time in WWE was undoubtedly winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33, and the 34-year-old has detailed a conversation with WWE Chairman McMahon in which his attributes were highly praised by the boss.

However, McMahon couldn't quite figure out how to utilise Rawley.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, he said: "I remember meeting with Vince one time, I felt pretty boosted after it.

"He sat me down and went ‘Alright, you may be one of the best athletes in the company. You may be one of the strongest in the company. You have one of the best attitudes and one of the best work ethics.’ He literally went down the list of all these superlatives where I was number one or top three.

"Then he was like ‘We’ve just got to figure out what to do with you.’ I remember thinking to myself I think you just said it. How do we not use that? There are so many things you could do with it. But you never know what’s going on behind the scenes."
