Montez Ford Got Kicked Out Of Class At School For Cutting Promos On Teachers Like The Rock

Teachers didn't know their role...

The Street Profits are flying high in NXT at the moment, having won the developmental group's Tag Team titles in a wild four-way ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXV last Saturday night. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have come a long way in their several years in developmental, though Ford was already practicing for the big time long before adulthood.

In an interview with Sam Roberts for Roberts' podcast, Ford talked about how wrestling inspired he and his sister in their school years, and delved into one particular icon who had a tremendous influence on him.

"Me and my sister used to make entrances coming into the cafeteria, and I was always The Rock," Ford recalls. "I used to cut promos at school on the teachers and get sent out (of the classroom). The Rock is my guy."

Ford confirmed that although he has met a number of lofty figures in the business, including John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and The Undertaker, he's yet to meet that certain "Great One" who captivated him in his youth.
