Goldberg Apologizes To Fans, Says He Was Knocked Out During WWE Super ShowDown Main Event

Wasn't either man's finest hour...

It would be an understatement to say that the first and likely only one-on-one match pitting The Undertaker against Goldberg didn't exactly go well. The Super ShowDown main event was a combination of slow movement and horribly-botched moves that didn't equate to either man's finest hours.

Goldberg in particular had himself a rough outing, busting his forehead during his pre-match head-smashing ritual, before bleeding much worse during the match. He also landed badly on an Undertaker Tombstone, with Goldberg's head making hard contact with the canvas.

Goldberg took to Twitter later on, apologizing for how the match turned out, saying, "Knocked myself out and thought I could finish.... love my fans.....but let u down. Everyone else that found “pleasure” ..... hope ur happy."

The latter stages of the match saw Goldberg and Undertaker involved in a couple more potentially-catastrophic moments. At one juncture, Goldberg attempted a Jackhammer, only to drop down prematurely, planting Undertaker with an unintended brainbuster.

A Tombstone-reversal spot also went badly, leading to Undertaker quickly finishing off the match with a hasty chokeslam, seemingly an audible in light of the match falling apart.
