Moose Reveals He Almost Joined WWE In 2021

Moose was almost a WWE Superstar

While Moose has previously noted that he held talks with WWE before he opted to sign a new two-year deal with IMPACT Wrestling in 2021, The Wrestling God revealed to Fightful Select that he actually decided to join WWE before Scott D'Amore approached him with a last-minute offer.

Fightful also reported independent of the interview that Canyon Ceman was in charge of negotiations and WWE pitched for Moose to go straight to the main roster during their informal talks, although this would have needed to be signed off by Vince McMahon.

While that was happening, though, IMPACT gave Moose a 'significant offer' that was a huge improvement on his old deal. IMPACT needed a quick answer, which Moose provided.

Even though he turned them down, Moose doesn't have any heat with WWE.

Since re-signing with IMPACT, Moose has continued to be presented as a top star and he won the IMPACT World Title at Bound For Glory 2021. He held the gold for 182 days before dropping the belt to Josh Alexander at Rebellion in April.
