More Details Regarding Randy Orton Reportedly Emerge Following WWE Raw Absence

Orton missed the September 27 WWE Raw

Randy Orton was conspicuous by his absence from this week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, and now more details regarding the Viper's lack of involvement in recent WWE shows has reportedly come to light.

Orton was not booked on the WWE Extreme Rules 2021 card, having seen his WWE Title Match with then-champion Bobby Lashley moved to the September 13 episode of Raw, but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the Raw Tag Team Champion also missed WWE's live event this past Saturday, a show he had been advertised for.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said: "He wasn’t booked on the pay-per-view but he was booked on the house show and he wasn’t at the house show either so there’s something up."

Orton's absence comes after a reasonably long sabbatical for the 41-year old.

The former WWE Champion was off television for a number of weeks, prior to WWE's return to touring and live crowds, coming back in early August to reignite his tag team with Riddle before challenging and defeating AJ Styles and Omos at SummerSlam last month.
