BT Sport Studios Reportedly Lobbying To Become WWE NXT UK's Permanent Home

BT Sport Studios have been home to NXT UK for a year

BT Sport are reportedly pushing WWE to allow their studios in London to become the new permanent home for NXT UK.

The BT Sport Studios in Stratford, London, have played host to NXT UK tapings since last September, providing a safe space to continue production of the show after the first wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

According to Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, WWE's UK broadcast partner are eager for NXT UK to keep using their studio space and make it the permanent home of NXT UK going forward.

Talks are ongoing between WWE and BT Sport about the idea, with BT hoping to also welcome back live fans for the shows in the imminent future.

The 'logistics' of the deal are still being worked out, as are the safety elements for having crowds in attendance at BT Sport Studios.

NXT UK filmed their last tapings the week of SummerSlam in August, and are set to do their next lot of filming in early-October. It is therefore likely the next batch will come too soon to permit fans to attend.
