More Than 12,000 Pre-Sale Requests For AEW Double Or Nothing In Roughly An Hour

Business is picking up...

After All In sold out Chicago's Sears Center in under 30 minutes last May, it seemed possible that another Cody Rhodes/Young Bucks-backed pay-per-view could spark similar rabid interest.

On the night that the pre-sale registration for AEW's Double or Nothing was made available, it took roughly one hour (from the time the pre-sale was announced, to a reported 10:15 PM EST) for more than 12,000 code requests to come in, per Dave Meltzer. Meltzer adds that this virtually guarantees a sell out next week when tickets officially go on sale.

Cody announced the pre-sale early in AEW's Double or Nothing ticket announcement party in Las Vegas on Thursday night. Within 15 minutes or so, Excalibur announced that the pre-sale website had crashed, most likely due to the higher volume of accessing patrons.

Several matches for Double or Nothing were made (or at least inferred) at the rally, including Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho, Hangman Page vs. Pac, The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Brothers, So Cal Uncensored vs. a contingent from Oriental Wrestling Entertainment (likely including CIMA), and Kylie Rae vs. Nyla Rose.
