More Wrestlers Qualify For WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

Wrestlers qualified for Money in the Bank ladder matches on SmackDown

We are on the road to WWE’s next premium live event, Money In The Bank, and last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw the company host some more qualifiers for the respective men’s and women’s Money In The Bank ladder matches. Following the trend from Monday Night RAW, these were triple threat matches featuring several notable names.

On the men’s side, current WWE Speed Champion Andrade picked up a big victory as he defeated the pair of Kevin Owens and one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Grayson Waller. Prior to the match, Owens was on the receiving end of an attack by The Bloodline, so he went into the match at less than 100%. Elsewhere, Carmelo Hayes also took advantage of The Bloodline’s interference, as he picked up a victory over Randy Orton and Tama Tonga. Orton was distracted in the match by Tonga Loa, but instead of his brother gaining the advantage, it was Hayes who rolled up Orton for the win.

In the women’s qualifiers last night, Chelsea Green won her match against Bianca Belair and Mia Yim to score a spot in the ladder match. Belair hit a KOD on Yim, only for Green to throw her out of the ring and gain a cheap pinfall.

The current lineups for the two Money In The Bank ladder matches are as follows:

  • Men’s - Jey Uso vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA
  • Women’s - Iyo Sky vs. Chelsea Green vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA
