Backstage News On Jacob Fatu's WWE Debut

More news behind Jacob Fatu's debut, why it took so long, and reactions

Jacob Fatu made his presence known on WWE SmackDown last night, making his long-awaited debut by attacking WWE’s top babyfaces and aligning himself with The Bloodline. It had been reported that Fatu was signed by WWE, though the company were holding off on his introduction so as to not overshadow Solo Sikoa’s rise as the new leader of the group.

A report from Fightful Select has revealed some more as to why it might have taken so long for Fatu to make his debut in WWE, with some of that coming down to his criminal record. It is suggested in the report that due to WWE’s spree of international events since WrestleMania, with the company heading to France, Saudi Arabia, and Scotland in recent months, Fatu’s debut was held off. The report explains that Fatu had struggled to get bookings outside of the US due to mistakes made in his younger life, and that WWE previously held back on signing him due to this, although the new regime in WWE has been far more open to bringing him in.

The report further revealed that the response to Fatu’s arrival in WWE has been very positive, with it being noted that he has impressed those backstage and also conducted himself professionally and respectfully.
