AEW & WBD Reactions To Low Dynamite Rating

All the reaction in AEW & WBD after Dynamite's low viewership

It was revealed yesterday that AEW Dynamite on Wednesday June 19 received its lowest ever viewership rating for the traditional Wednesday timeslot, drawing an average of just 502,000 viewers which was a massive drop from the previous week.

A report from Fightful Select has revealed the thoughts from the AEW and WBD camps on this low number. When it came to finding reasons as to why the viewership experienced such a big drop off, those in AEW said one reason was that the lead-in for AEW Dynamite was different to usual. Big Bang Theory is often the lead-in to Dynamite, but this week it was Black Panther, which had a much lower demo number in the final quarter hour. Aside from that, those in AEW were reportedly “surprised” by the low figure.

When it came to those in WBD, a rep noted that the week was an odd one, and that they wouldn’t put much thought into the number of Dynamite and expected an increase next week. The potential AEW-WBD deal is said to not be at any sort of risk nor will it be affected in any way by this week’s number.
