Motor City Machine Guns Become Three-Time IMPACT World Tag Team Champions

Motor City Machine Guns are champions once again

The Motor City Machine Guns are IMPACT World Tag Team Champions once again.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin challenged Heath and Rhino for the titles on the December 15 episode of IMPACT, with Sabin picking up the win for MCMG after he avoided a second Gore from Rhino and caught the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion with a Sunset Flip for the 1-2-3.

The Motor City Machine Guns and Heath & Rhino have been in a programme in recent weeks, facing off for the titles last week, only for the match to end in a no-contest after The Major Players interfered. A match with Matt Cardona and Brian Myers looks set to take place at Hard To Kill as The Major Players attacked MCMG after their title win.

The win also makes The Motor City Machine Guns multi-promotion champions as they are the reigning NJPW STRONG Tag Team Champions.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin first held the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles when the promotion was TNA in 2010 and 2011. They regained the belts in 2020.
