The 2024 Crown Jewel is fast approaching, taking place in one week’s time on Saturday, November 2 in Saudi Arabia. At last night’s WWE SmackDown taping at the Barclays Center in New York City, several new matches were scheduled for the premium live event. Some of the following match announcements contain SPOILERS for next week’s episode, which was taped last night.

Randy Orton emerged at the start of SmackDown to confront Paul “Triple H” Levesque, continuing his demands to face Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel. Despite initially refusing Orton the match, Triple H eventually agreed and made the singles match official between the former tag team partners and friends.

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill will put their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line at the show, defending the gold against all the teams which have been pursuing their gold in recent weeks. They will compete in a fatal four way match against Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane), The Meta-Four (Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson), and Piper Niven & Chelsea Green.

Andrade and Carmelo Hayes clashed in their best-of-seven series on SmackDown last night, with the winner looking to earn a shot at the United States Championship. LA Knight served as the Special Guest Referee, but the match ended in a no contest as he laid out both men. In classic fashion, this led to a triple threat title match being announced for Crown Jewel 2024.

Finally, in a segment which will take place on next week’s SmackDown, Roman Reigns and The Usos reunited to reform the original Bloodline, hinting that a match between their faction and the new Bloodline would take place at Crown Jewel, though nothing has been officially announced as of yet.
