While Mustafa Ali remains a popular talent with fans and his promos and in-ring ability have been commended by many, the former RETRIBUTION leader has never received a sustained main event push within WWE.

WWE have never publicly stated why that is the case, but Ali revealed on social media that he knows the reason.

After a fan asked why WWE had never gone "all in" on Ali, he replied: "I know why. and I'll knock that sh*t down too."

The 36-year-old asked for his release from the company in January of 2022, a request that was denied. He then returned in April and embarked on a feud over the United States Championship with Austin Theory. That programme ended in early June, though, and Ali has found himself largely off TV, having competed on Main Event eight times since July and only twice on Raw.

His most recent match came on Monday, September 26 when he defeated T-Bar at the latest Main Event taping.
