Mysterios Vs. Usos Tag Team Title Match Set For Next Week's WWE SmackDown

The Usos receive their first shot at Tag gold in a long time

Next week, The Usos will get their first crack at Tag Team gold in over a year.

Jimmy and Jey Uso will challenge SmackDown Tag Team champions Rey and Dominik Mysterio for the SmackDown Tag Team titles on the June 4 episode of WWE SmackDown.

After defeating The Street Profits on Friday night's episode of SmackDown, the Usos appealed to Adam Pearce backstage, asking for a Tag Team title match on next week's program. Pearce granted their wish, and announced they would face the winners of the evening's main event.

In said main event, the Mysterios defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in match that utilized a similar two-on-one angle from WrestleMania Backlash (this time, with Rey being absent while Dominik temporary went it alone).

SmackDown concluded with the Usos and the Mysterios facing off in the ring.

The match marks the first Tag Team title match for the Usos since each individually vied for the titles at WrestleMania 36, and the ensuing SmackDown, in different triple threat singles matches. The last time the Usos challenged for the belts together was at the 2020 Elimination Chamber.
