NBA Star “Serious” About WWE Career

Wants meeting with Vince McMahon...

We've seen many sports stars make the transition to the sports entertainment world of WWE. Some of those famous faces have been a success, while others just weren't cut out for the rough and tumble life inside the squared circle.

The latest big name who has shown a desire to lace up a pair of those fabled wrestling boots is NBA star, Enes Kanter.

The Portland Trailblazers man is serious about giving WWE a shot and is even hoping to score a meeting with Vince McMahon himself.

Here's what the former Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks player said on the matter during an interview with Hoops Rumors:

“I’m very serious about (a pro wrestling career). I feel like it’s my world. You just got to go out there, talk trash, troll people. Lifting, I love lifting. It’s just fun, man. I don’t want to stop my sports career when I’m done with basketball. A lot of people go into broadcasting, coaching, but I want to continue opening the door in sports. That’s why I’m very serious about it.

“I’m already in contact with Paul Heyman and some of the wrestlers,” Kanter added. “I’m actually trying to meet with Vince McMahon.”

Kanter recently appeared on WWE's YouTube channel, scoring a pinfall victory over Curt Hawkins.
