Last 10 Real WWE WrestleMania Attendances Revealed

101,763 at 'Mania 32? Think again...

Believe it or not, WWE includes the attendance figures of some of their events in the 'entertainment' side of sports entertainment. The most famous example of WWE inflating a crowd's size at one of their events happened at WrestleMania III, where the quoted attendance of 93,173 actually looked more like 78,000 depending on who you believe.

Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston has done some fantastic work in finding out the last 10 years worth of real WrestleMania attendance, and yes, some of the numbers have been inflated for entertainment purposes...

Of course, the standout figure from the last 10 years is the 101,763 that supposedly attended WrestleMania 32 in Texas three years ago. While the spectacle of seeing AT&T Stadium packed with so many WWE fans was absolutely awesome, learning that not even 80,000 paid fans were in there certainly takes the shine off the occasion somewhat.

That event was supposed to have smashed all kinds of attendance records but actually fell some way short of the 92,000 who legitimately filled London's Wembley Stadium for SummerSlam all the way back in 1992.
