New AEW Revolution 2021 Date Confirmed

March 7 it is

While AEW Revolution 2021 was originally scheduled to take place on February 27, All Elite Wrestling officially announced during last night's Dynamite that the pay-per-view had been pushed back to March 7. This will be the company's first-ever Sunday pay-per-view.

Reports first emerged about AEW changing the date of Revolution on January 22

The young promotion reportedly decided to move the show because they didn't want to go head-to-head with the Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildrim boxing pay-per-view. Saturday, March 6 was also considered as a possible new date but AEW wanted to avoid clashing with UFC 259.

AEW has previously suffered in pay-per-view buys when going head-to-head with other major sports events. Full Gear 2019 was the company's lowest-drawing major show and took place at the same time as Logan Paul vs. KSI II.

Check out the card for Revolution 2021 below:
• Sting & Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage & Ricky Starks - Street Fight
• The Young Bucks (c) vs. TBD by a Battle Royal at Beach Break - AEW World Tag Team Championship
