Shaquille O'Neal Challenges Cody Rhodes To AEW Match, Cody Responds
A match appears to be set for Revolution
The feud between Shaquille O'Neal & Jade Cargill and Cody Rhodes & Brandi Rhodes has been simmering since November and it heated up on last night's edition of Dynamite.
Shaq laid out the challenge to Cody during the AEW Awards show and suggested they go one on one in March.
The American Nightmare responded during Dynamite and noted that he planned to team with Brandi against Shaq and Jade at Revolution. That can't happen, though, because he and Brandi have a baby on the way and Cody seemed resigned to the fact the match couldn't happen.
The two-time TNT Champion then handed over to Arn Anderson who eventually invited Red Velvet to the ring. The Enforcer noted both she and Cody have the fire inside of them to take on Shaq and Jade and after a brief promo from Red Velvet, Tony Schiavone confirmed the ball was in O'Neal and Cargill's court.
