New Championship Unveiled On ROH TV

New championship in Ring of Honor

Ring of Honor have unveiled a new championship.

ROH Owner Tony Khan officially announced during Thursday night's edition of ROH TV on HonorClub the creation of the ROH Women's World Television Championship. The new belt shares a similar design to Ring of Honor's other championships that have been redesigned over the past 12 months.

There was no announcement about how the inaugural champion will be crowned, nor when a match/tournament for the gold will begin. ROH tweeted following Khan's reveal: "A new chapter begins in #ROH as the #ROH Owner & CEO @TonyKhan has introduced a new title..the #ROH Women's World TV Championship."

The ROH Women's World TV Title is the seventh title recognised by Ring of Honor. The promotion's other championships are the ROH World Championship, ROH Pure Championship, ROH World Television Championship, ROH World Tag Team Titles, ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles, and the ROH Women's World Championship. The ROH World Championship will soon be unified with the NJPW STRONG Title and a new AEW belt at AEW Worlds End on December 30 to form the Triple Crown.

Athena is the reigning ROH Women's World Champion and has held the belt for over a year.
