New IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions Crowned

Their second reign begins...

On last night's episode of IMPACT!, The Good Brothers cut a promo in which Karl Anderson called himself the best wrestler in the world, Eric Young interrupted new world champion Eddie Edwards, and EC3 attacked the self-proclaimed TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose.

In the main event of the show, The North defended the IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Championships against The Motor City Machine Guns. In a widely praised match, both teams battled back and forth for 17 minutes but Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin ultimately picked up the win.

The finish came after The North seemingly had the match won as they set Sabin up for The Northern Assault. As soon as Sabin touched Ethan Page's shoulders, however, the former world champion countered the finisher into a roll-up. Shelley then charged into the ring and stopped Josh Alexander from breaking up the pin as the referee counted the 1-2-3.

With the win, The Motor City Machine Guns begin their second reign as IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions. The North's run with the gold will also go down in history, having held the titles for 383 days.
