New Japan Cup 2021 Results - March 13 & March 14, 2021: Minoru Suzuki Vs. KENTA, Will Ospreay Vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

The second round of the New Japan Cup continued over the weekend and four stars advanced to the quarter-finals.

On Saturday, KENTA managed to survive numerous devastating strikes and a Sleeper Hold from Minoru Suzuki before he connected with Go 2 Sleep to pick up the win.

Shingo Takagi then continued to impress in the New Japan Cup in Saturday's main event as he put Hirooki Goto away with a Pumping Bomber and Last Of The Dragon to advance in the tournament.

Takagi and KENTA will square off in the quarter-finals on March 16.

On NJPW's Sunday show, SANADA faced off against Yuji Nagata and Will Ospreay took on Zack Sabre Jr. in the main event.

SANADA managed to defeat the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion in their match. He wore Nagata down with Skull End during the finish and connected with his patented Moonsault for the 1-2-3.

Will Ospreay and ZSJ followed this with a terrific 21-minute match in the main event. Both men battled back and forth throughout but Ospreay managed to secure the victory following a Hidden Blade and Stormbreaker.

The Commonwealth Kingpin will face SANADA on March 18.
