New Japan Cup 2021 Results - March 9, 2021: Tomohiro Ishii Vs. SANADA, Yuji Nagata Vs. Yota Tsuji

The first round of the New Japan Cup 2021 continued at ZIP Arena Okayama in Okayama, Japan earlier today and Yuji Nagata faced off against Yota Tsuji while SANADA took on Tomohiro Ishii in the main event. 

The veteran Nagata ultimately picked up the win over Young Lion Yota Tsuji after 13 minutes with a Backdrop. 

The two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion's opponent was then determined in the main event. SANADA and Ishii fought back and forth for over 25 minutes and the Los Ingobernables De Japon member managed to put Ishii away with a TKO and Moonsault.
