TNA Wrestling's creative team has undergone a reshuffle this week as Tommy Dreamer announced that he and the pro wrestling promotion had mutually agreed to part ways, ending Dreamer's third run with the company after eight years, seven of which he had spent working on TNA's storylines.
Dreamer and Hunter "Delirious" Johnston were the two key figures on TNA creative and reports have noted that Delirious will remain a part of the company despite Dreamer's departure. Delirious won't be working on creative alone, however, and PWInsider has reported that Vice President of TV Production Eric Tompkins will be "working hand in hand" with Delirious on creative. One person in TNA described the partnership as them being co-heads of creative, but that has not been confirmed, although Tompkins lists 'executive creative director' as one of his job roles on his X/Twitter profile.
Eric Tompkins has worked for TNA since 2009, beginning with the promotion as a production assistant and working his way through the company since then.
Tompkins and Delirious may end up being joined on the TNA creative team by Brian "Road Dogg" James, with reports amidst Dreamer's exit noting the former WWE SmackDown co-head writer had been in talks for weeks about him returning to the promotion. Road Dogg previously wrestled for TNA from 2002 until 2009, during which he was a part of multiple factions in Voodoo Kin Mafia, 3 Live Kru, and the James Gang.
