New Starz Series 'Heels' To Premiere In August

Starring Stephen Amell and CM Punk

Starz recently announced their new professional wrestling drama series 'Heels' will premiere on August 15 at 9 pm ET.

The new series will star Arrow's Stephen Amell and Vikings' Alexander Ludwig as brothers Jack and Ace Spade and 'Heels' will centre around their war over their late father's small-town wrestling promotion in Georgia.

Multi-time world champion CM Punk is also returning to the ring in the series as Ricky Rabies, a character which The Straight Edge Superstar described as himself in another life.

The show was written and created by Michael Waldron, the man behind upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Heels won't be Stephen Amell's first foray into professional wrestling. He made his debut at SummerSlam 2015 when he teamed with Neville against King Barrett and Stardust. He then teamed with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks a couple of years later against SCU and Flip Gordan at ROH Survival Of The Fittest 2017. The Arrow star last stepped in the ring at All In when he went one on one with Christopher Daniels.
