New Title Match Added To Saturday Night's Main Event

The third in the rebooted Saturday Night’s Main Event series is set to take place later on tonight, as WWE heads to the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida for their TV special. In the weeks leading up to the show, fans were beginning to question the lack of a women’s match at the show, as just four matches had been announced, all of which featuring members of the men’s division.

On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, a women’s bout was finally announced for the card. For the first time since winning the gold a month ago, Zelina will put her Women’s United States Championship on the line at the show, defending the title against former champion Chelsea Green, who will be getting her rematch. 

They came face to face backstage on SmackDown after recent weeks of bad blood building between Green, her faction and Vega. Last year, Green became the inaugural Women’s US Champion, defeating Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December to win the gold. 

The updated line-up for the show is as follows;

• Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker vs. CM Punk & Sami Zayn
• John Cena (c) vs. R-Truth - Undisputed WWE Championship
• Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul - World Heavyweight Championship
• Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest - Steel Cage
• Zelina Vega (c) vs. Chelsea Green - Women’s United States Championship
