New WWE NXT In-Ring Names Revealed

Two WWE NXT talents receive their new names

Two new WWE NXT in-ring names have been revealed.

WWE filed to trademark several names with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on December 1, including 'Keanu Carver', 'Dion Wilder', and 'Dion Lennox'. Two of those names were seemingly inspired by boxing as they closely resemble Deontay Wilder and Lennox Lewis.

Names have since been assigned to WWE talent, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. Former Los Angeles Rams linebacker Andrzej Hughes-Murray will now be known as 'Dion Lennox.' He signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but was released by LA before the season began so he never ended up playing a regular season game in the NFL. Hughes-Murray signed with WWE in the spring of 2023.

Kevin Robertson, meanwhile, will now be known as 'Keanu Carver.' He signed with WWE in June and Carver is a former defensive tackle at Temple University.

WWE have looked to recruit more athletes and mould them into wrestlers in recent years, although the company has looked to hire indy talents once again since Triple H was re-established as the head of WWE creative.
