News On WWE's Annual MSG Live Event On December 26

For several years, WWE has held a yearly live event on December 26 inside the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. This week, WWE released their upcoming schedule through the end of the year, and there was no listed event for December 26 in MSG on this graphic, with instead a house show scheduled to take place on the same date at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida. 

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean WWE will not be heading to Madison Square Garden on Boxing Day in two months' time. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has been told by WWE talent that the December 26 MSG show is still internally listed on the talent relations app. As of earlier this year in the summer, the show was planned by WWE, though it has not been announced and there has been no information provided. 

In previous years, most recently in 2023, WWE hosted two different live events on December 26, with one show featuring RAW talent and the other featuring SmackDown talent, so all hope is not lost for WWE’s yearly tradition. Last year, WWE set a record for the highest-grossing non-televised event in the history of the company.
